I really enjoyed your presentation. one thing that i really liked was that you spoke very clearly and knew your topic very well without relying on a slide show. Your information was very intriguing and you both seemed very interested in your topic which makes the listener interested as well. Very well done presentation, the only thing i would work on is both people talking equally thought the presentation. other than that, great job!
ReplyDeleteGood job. Loved the connection to our college lives. At some points, Julianne kind of hid behind Devon while she was speaking.
ReplyDeleteI thought you both were very clear about your information and you guys clearly knew what you were talking about.
ReplyDeleteI thought that you guys could have maybe have had your call to action in a way that would make us go out and do something related to Charlston
You guys did great! I never knew that the south withdrew from the US because they wanted to keep their slaves.. you guys spoke loud and clear and really knew your information. The word obviously was used too much but that's an easy fix!
ReplyDeleteYour presentation was creative and you spoke every topic clearly and to the point. You can teach this presented information to any student. One thing you could work on was if you could have a call to action that would make people interested to tour Charleston, SC.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your presentation. Despite that technical difficulties, your presentation came off as being well-contructed and practiced. I learned a lot from your presentation. I felt that you guys did really well at explaining Charleston's history and its involvement in our country's history. One thing that I would recommend, I would probably say that being more involved in interacting with your viewers more.
ReplyDeleteThe final statements of your presentation were very interesting. I really liked how you connected it to today. It seemed like you guys really knew what you were talking about. I would have liked to have heard a little bit more about how this can connect to us. Your plan of action seemed a bit vague. Overall this was a great presentation.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed it right off the bat. How you talked about and even showed us about the last presentation and incorporated it into yours. The only thing I would suggest is to not sit down and act like your lecturing to us. I would like to see someone talk to me not Lecture me. Good Job though.
ReplyDeleteI am partial to this presentation because I love Charleston. I go at least once every year and I plan to move there upon graduating. I liked the route that the group took. Charleston is filled with history I love hearing about it. I do think the hallway side of the class room was slightly neglected by the speakers when compared to the other side of the room.
ReplyDeleteThis was definitely one of the best presentations so far. I felt Devon dominated the presentation and Julianne took a back seat. I liked that you were very clear and concise with presenting. The use of the laser pointer was interactive. Your call to action was very clearly stated. My only criticism is equal time for both presenters.
ReplyDeleteI loved Charleston, so I really liked your presentation. I thought it was interesting how your team focused more of the war aspects which eventually lead into how Charleston came to be, or why it is so important or interesting today. At the same time, I would have loved to have heard some more depth on the city itself, the famous Rainbow Road or maybe some more local history. And I believe there could have been more of a team effort. Other than that, great job!
ReplyDeleteI really liked your presentation, I thought you guys did very well at giving a good time line which made the whole presentation easier to follow. However I think you focused to much on the wars and the south instead of the Charleston it's self. over all very good presentation, great information.
ReplyDeleteYou guys did a great job of making your presentation easy to follow, which is good for those of us who weren't familiar with Charleston before. I would've enjoyed more of the local history like the part about Market Street at the very end, because I think that really connected our theme of "Holding on" and a historical place. Other than that, great job!
ReplyDeleteI think you guys did a really good job with your presentation. I liked what you guys said about what is being held onto in Charleston. I have never though of it like that. I think if you guys would have made a little bit more eye contact with the audience, it would have made your presentation perfect. Other than that, you guys did really well!
ReplyDeleteI really couldn't find anything wrong with presentation, so overall great job! I did learn a lot of historical facts about the town and they were really good too. I also liked that you had comparisons between the Revolutionary War and the Civil War. I should probably consider visiting the place someday.
ReplyDeleteyou guys had really good visual aids. the only thing that i think could have been improved on would be the splitting up of the dialogue, it was a little bit unbalanced. other than that i thought it was really interesting how they turned the slave market into a gift market.
ReplyDeleteit was perfect presentation, i did learn a lot of history and revolution. it was amazing little background of history. i don't think so anything is wrong. nice presentation
